I was looking at some of the photos from a few years back. I noticed that the track used to have a street night. I was wondering why the track does not do that anymore. Or is this something that could be done again. Then again there is the street class and the street trophy class so this may be why there is'nt one now. Well just thought I would ask sounds like it would be a fun time. Grin Grin Grin Grin

It started out with alot of cars and it dropped off so it was costing the track to have them. No mun no fun. Cool

It did start out with alot of cars like Willie said and then the crew stayed and worked late but the exspense of having a full crew to having so few cars caught up with us quickly! Dont get me wrong we are willing to work it but when the exspense exceeds what you bring in its not worth it! actually I think they just stopped coming cause they didnt like the gate lady! LOL

The owners worked, instead of all the crew; so it was not the expense of paying workers, but there was lack of interest in the street drivers, so it was discontinued. Cool

Sorry Robin if I spoke out of turn but I am pretty sure the last of street nightds it was the crew that did work the street nights and if I am wrong sorri! But I remember we would have so few cars and the crew stayed maybe im thinking of something else~itseasy to mix that stuff up! Hope I didnt give the wrong impression to anyone!  Sad the whole point anyways it seems we lost "CAR" and people interest! It would be nice to see something and I can say from being the gatelady I did see attendence go up with the band weekends! and Donny I was being a wise you know what! about people not liking me!

The first year of street nights there were only a few of them, the next year it seemed like they were every other weekend. I think this is why the attendance fell off. I think they would still do ok with just a few of them a year. JMHO.

We tried that too!

The last 2 years that we held Street Night events, we only did 3 each year.

It didn't work. Sad Sad

I remember it being something like once a month, thought it was only the first year, my mistake. Seems like when something is limited people want it, but once its easily available some lose interest. Jimmys bike nites seem huge right now, might be worth a thought.
